Marie Idele Fenestor has been working with our hospitals in Haiti since 1995, first as a nurse at our sister pediatric hospital, St. Damien’s, and subsequently at St. Luke's. When cholera entered Haiti in the fall of 2010, Madame Fenestor lead the fight to establish a treatment center, working day and night to found the cholera wing at St. Luke’s, which has since treated over 50,000 patients.

We are grateful for her leadership, which continues to this day, and we are excited  to honor her accomplishments and courage at the event.

Guests who purchase Foundation-level tickets will have an amazing opportunity to Get to Know Our Hosts at our Patron Party. Take a quick Portuguese lesson with Adriana Lima, shoot on goal against Jozy Altidore, and ask Kenneth Cole anything! Our hosts will also share why they've chosen to stand in solidarity with the people of Haiti by supporting St. Luke’s programs. The Patron Party will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Our Hosts

Kenneth Cole

Kenneth Cole is an American designer, social activist, and visionary who believes business and philanthropy are interdependent. Kenneth has personally been to Haiti three times since the earthquake of 2010 and has made enormous impact by providing healthcare to thousands at the Kenneth Cole Haiti Health Center, a program that operates in partnership with the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti. This marks the third year that Kenneth is hosting the foundation’s premier event in the United States. For more information on Cole’s commitment to our people and programs, visit forgood.kennethcole.com.

Adriana Lima

Adriana Lima is one of fashion’s most notable faces. Soon after winning a 1996 modeling contest in her native Brazil, Adriana moved to New York City to pursue a modeling career. Although Adriana is most widely associated with Victoria’s Secret, she has also headlined campaigns for Armani Jeans, Balmain, Blumarine, Guess, Givenchy and Maybelline. Fluent in English, French and her native language of Portuguese, Adriana has traveled the world extensively and been introduced to a variety of cultures. She has visited the St. Luke programs in Haiti twice, spending time at our hospitals and schools. Adriana uses her platform to spread the word about the work of St. Luke and has pledged to raise $1 million dollars for the capital campaign funding the new St. Luke's Hospital. Adriana has co-hosted the St. Luke winter event with Kenneth Cole for the two years. Despite her major career success, Adriana’s most fulfilling role to date is as the mother of two daughters, Valentina and Sienna. To see Adriana’s latest work, visit www.adrianalima.com.

Jozy Altidore

From beloved son and international soccer standout to loving brother and respected global philanthropist, Jozy Altidore wears many important hats on and off the field of play. Altidore, the youngest of four children of Haitian immigrants, has blossomed into one of the world's top strikers playing for the United States Men's National Team and Toronto FC of Major League Soccer. Altidore is currently the fifth-highest scorer in U.S. Soccer history and has led the red, white and blue to the past two World Cup competitions. He has taken part in several charitable fundraisers and organized multiple projects through the Jozy Altidore Foundation, including the funding and construction of a well for a community of more than 400 people in Haiti in need of clean water. Altidore is eager to visit St. Luke's Hospital soon and become more involved with the foundation's work. For more information on Altidore’s life and work, visit www.jozyaltidore.com.

About St. Luke’s Hospital

The St. Luke Foundation for Haiti is a Haitian-led organization that employs more than 1,000 staff members in Haiti.  Our programs include 32 schools that serve 12,000 students, agriculture, production, job creation, housing, clean water, two women's health clinics and more.

At the center of these programs is St. Luke’s Hospital, which we are celebrating and supporting though this event.

Since its founding after the earthquake of January 12, 2010, St. Luke’s Hospital has rapidly advanced from humble beginnings as an emergency response field hospital to a high-level facility providing specialty care to thousands each month.

The current hospital consists of two sections sharing one campus. One section is composed of the ICU and surgery suites, which are housed in a high-level permanent facility built to international standards. The second section is a simple and shorter-term structure and houses the remaining wards. Together with our partners, we have designed a permanent St. Luke’s Hospital to replace the temporary wing, with ground breaking occurring in January 2016.

Our courageous staff is treating thousands every month, and our international partners are committed for the long term. We are proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new facility, a facility that continues to grow and adapt to meet enormous need. Every day, we are showing what is possible in Haiti.
